Invisalign Treatment | Is Invisalign Right for You?
Apart from getting a big boost in confidence and other aesthetic benefits, having a set of straight teeth offers a few health benefits.
With straighter teeth, you will be able to achieve excellent oral health. You can easily avoid dental problems like periodontal disease. On top of that, having healthy teeth and gums contributes to your overall health. With tooth decay and gum disease kept at bay, you can lower your risk for serious diseases like heart disease and stroke, diabetes and pneumonia.
The Invisalign Advantage
When it comes to straightening teeth, there are a few options you can choose from, ranging from traditional braces to Invisalign.
Why choose Invisalign?
There are plenty of reasons why an overwhelming number of teens (and adults) prefer clear aligners over metal braces.
Like metal braces, Invisalign can be used to effectively treat a diverse array of cases, including over and underbites, crowded teeth, crossbites, and spacing issues. Both metal braces and Invisalign can straighten teeth.
However, Invisalign is removable. This means that you can enjoy almost any type of food that you want to eat. This also makes brushing and flossing easier. And when you can clean your teeth and gums better, you can ward off potential dental problems.
Invisalign is fabricated out of smooth and comfortable plastic which does not irritate the inside of your cheeks and your gums, unlike metal brackets and wires.
With Invisalign, you can enjoy more of your time as you only have to visit your dentist every four to six months.
The Answer is Clear
When it comes to comfort and convenience, Invisalign is practically peerless. You can get straighter teeth and enjoy your life the way you want it without having to worry about how your teeth look. The clear aligners are almost invisible and you can remove these. Plus, because the aligners are made out of smooth and comfortable plastic, you do not have to worry about irritating your mouth.
Ready to Have Straighter Teeth?
Treatment starts with an initial consultation with Dr. Mark Costes and Dr. Sean Reed of Horizon Dental. Your unique condition will be evaluated and our dentist will determine whether you are an ideal candidate for Invisalign. This is the best time to ask questions about the treatment, including concerns about cost, insurance and other treatment details.
If you are deemed to be an ideal candidate for Invisalign treatment, Dr. Costes and Dr. Reed will begin creating a customized treatment plan for you. This requires taking images and impressions of your teeth which will be used to map out the movement of your teeth as well as determine the length of the treatment time.
Your custom-made clear aligners will be fabricated in a laboratory using the treatment plan made by our dentists. You will receive a new set of aligners every two weeks, which you will have to wear for 20 to 22 hours per day.
